I came to the academy with no knowledge of why I’m reciting the Quran the way I recite it. I didn’t know anything about tajweed rulings. I’m amazed to see myself knowing so much tajweed after only 6 days. The academy has really helped me understand tajweed in an easy and fun way. The 6 days’ intensive course has helped me push myself to grasp everything that has been taught.
The teaching method was fantastic. The rules of Tajweed which can be quite confusing and muddling was very concisely taught. Throughout the sessions, not once did I feel bored, tired or wanted to leave. On the contrary, studying with Sheikhah has been one of the most enriching experience. Her methods of symbolically representing, giving simple English terminology and using all our senses to memorise and learn Taiweed was really good, Alhamdulillah!
Before the workshop, I was someone who is familiar with the application of rulings, but not the terminologies. Alhamdulillah, the workshop really helped me review tajwid, and also improved what I already knew. This workshop also awaken my motivation again to continue learning about Qur’an and Islam in general. Another bonus is I got to know wonderful new sisters, experiencing sisterhood. It was indeed a great experience, Alhamdulillah.
Subhanallah. Finally, there is a tajweed course that meets my requirement of concise, fun, easy, and most important of all, quality is maintained by a sanad holder. After this course, tajweed is no longer an intimidating subject for me.
